Agnikarma

Agnikarma is an Ayurvedic treatment that utilizes controlled heat therapy to relieve pain and treat various musculoskeletal and chronic conditions.

Overview

In this procedure, specific points on the body are carefully heated using a specialized metal instrument, such as a Shalaka (a metallic rod or probe), that has been preheated to a particular temperature. The localized heat application helps stimulate tissue repair, reduce pain, and improve circulation. Unlike surgical treatments, Agnikarma is minimally invasive and does not leave any permanent scars. The treatment is especially effective for conditions that involve chronic pain, stiffness, and inflammation, such as arthritis, sciatica, frozen shoulder, and tendonitis.
